Is there anything other than horrendous officiating in the NHL? Most of the referees should be fired, especially Francis Charron!

Right,

Just blame every loss on the officials, so its never your team's fault they lose, and it's never the play of the other team that leads to a win.

Columbus made mistakes and gave up two goals in the second. and from what I saw they had numerous opportunities to score that they could not convert on, mostly due a great performance by the Toronto goalie. But somehow in the last five minutes they came back and a very offensively challenged team scored twice to tie it up.

They came back in the last five minutes and won, on a good shot that took a bounce and went in, just like the first Toronto goal went in off the post after being deflected by CBJ d-man with his hand. The second one was a great snipe by Dubois just like the Toronto goal was a snipe by Matthews on a power play when the coverage busted.

The players for the CBJ won the game on a great play by the CBJ; a great pass on a break, then a great return pass through the crease to Breadman who got his stick on the puck after it hit his skate.

It was a good game and a great play, and all Toronto fans can do is whine about too many me on the ice with NO VIDEO TO SHOW IT! Can anyone say what rule was violated and show video of the play? I doubt it.

Complainers are losers, and I'd love to know how many complainers have ever been on the ice officiating a hockey game (or any other sport) instead of sitting in the stands booing the officials, the other team, or their team, whatever group hurt their feelings in the previous thirty seconds.

Sorry for the rant, but I'm tired of hearing how bad sports officials are, and then seeing that people love to complain and never decide to do anything about the problem. It is a major reason why there are fewer and fewer people willing to be sports officials anymore, people just do not want to put with the abuse officials get.

If NHL refs are so bad, why aren't the complainers becoming on ice officials and prove how terrible the current officials are?

The reffing was fair. We had lots of penalties early but that poop happens.

CLB earned that win with the help of some slack/sloppy play by the Leafs.

Nothing wrong with Rielly trying that stretch pass that led to the game tying goal but put some (frank)ing mustard on that poop. And skate up into the play a bit. After the giveaway CLB came down on and both Leaf D were standing beside the goalie. Let them walk right in.

Njuice,

You have a nice club, we were very fortunate to even get a point out of that game.

I hope you don[t post in the Leaf's threads much, I read it after the game last night and it was ugly.
